How quantities are calculated
Roof area uses both sloped surfaces. Wall area includes the perimeter × eave height and both gables. Panel purchasing uses coverage width and maximum required lengths; opening cutouts are not deducted from purchased panels. Frame count = ceil(length / frame spacing) + 1. Purlin and girt rows follow the selected spacing. Trim includes a 0.5-ft overlap per stock length. Fasteners use a preliminary allowance of 1.5 per ft² of cladding plus 4 per linear foot of trim. Waste is applied to panels, secondary steel, trim, insulation, and fasteners. All steel sections, anchors, connections, and hardware require manufacturer and engineer verification. Sample prices demonstrate the estimator and are not Sunrise’s published prices.
